God

We believe there is one true God, perfect in every way, who exists forever as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible

We believe the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and are fully trustworthy. The Bible is God’s Word and is the final authority for Christian faith and life.

Sanctification

We believe God desires every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit and grow in holiness. This is both a decisive step of surrender and a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus.

The Resurrection

We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of all people: those who belong to Christ to eternal life, and those who reject Him to judgment.

We base our beliefs on the infallible Word of God, the Bible.

What We Believe

Good News Sports Academy is a Christian youth sports ministry. Our work is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word. These beliefs shape how we serve youth, families, and communities.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now seated at the right hand of God and will return to establish His kingdom, righteousness, and peace.

Humanity and Sin

We believe every person is made in the image of God. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of salvation. We believe salvation is only possible through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

Healing

We believe God still cares for the whole person — body, soul, and spirit. We believe prayer for the sick is taught in Scripture and is a privilege of the Church today.

Jesus’ Return

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and in power. His return is the hope of every believer and motivates us to live faithfully, serve boldly, and follow Him daily.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He lives in believers, guides them, teaches them, gives them power to follow Jesus, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift from God made possible through Jesus Christ. Those who repent and believe in Him are forgiven, made new by the Holy Spirit, receive eternal life, and become children of God.

The Church

We believe the Church is made up of all who believe in Jesus Christ, are redeemed by His blood, and are born again by the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Head of the Church, and the Church is called to worship God, grow through His Word, pray, fellowship, proclaim the Gospel, and observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
